What is a Recovery Coach?

A Recovery Coach promotes recovery and removes barriers and obstacles to recovery, serving as a personal guide and mentor for people seeking or already in recovery from an addiction to alcohol and/or other drugs.

Recovery Coaches who work with the Recovery Center of HOPE are people with recovery experience who have also completed intensive training to offer non-clinical, strengths-based support informed by their own lived experience.

The role of a Recovery Coach complements but does not duplicate or replace the roles of therapists, medical doctors, case managers, or other members of a treatment team.
